The KahmannLab

Experimental Semiconductor physics

Welcome

To The KahmannLab

Our Mission

We are a young group just in transition from the University of Cambridge to Chemnitz University of Technology. Our goal is to develop smart solutions to satisfy humanity’s increasing energy demand, for example, by developing new pathways to harvest energy from sunlight, by fabricating more efficient light sources that waste less energy, or by developing new ideas for transferring information more efficiently.

Our methods rely on lasers and microscopes, but we are not afraid to get our hands dirty in the chemistry lab. Smart data processing and a tight interaction between experiment, theory, and modelling are at the core of our approach.

Photophysics – Materials – Optoelectronics: the main directions of our work, but by no means our limits.
